Michael Haynie has devoted his entire professional career to the lodging and hospitality industry. After attending Northeastern University in Boston, Ma. He took on various entry level positions before rising through the ranks to the executive level positions he has held for many years. Mr. Haynie has experience in every facet of hotel operations and has served in leadership capacities in hotels ranging from economy to luxury.
Mr. Haynie currently serves as President of “Parkway Management and Consulting”, a company devoted to working with hospitality and tourism related companies assisting with strategic planning and economic development and growth. Parkway is recognized as one of the best research companies in the region having done many research projects for various Maryland County agencies,higher education institutions as well as private entities. In 2012, he also started “The Maryland Center for Hospitality Training”, which prepares Marylanders with soft, social and technical skills training for successful transition into the workplace. MCHT, is a master training contractor with the State of Maryland and has gain a reputation as one of, if not the best, workforce training organizations in the region.
